Theory and Technology of Metallurgical Production was established in 2013 based on a collection of papers bearing the same name and published since 2001 by the ferrous metallurgy department.
The journal presents results of theoretical, experimental, production and research work of specialists in the field of metallurgical production.
The journal publishes research papers in research field 05.16.00 – Metallurgy and materials science and includes the following sections:
- Metal science and heat treatment of metals and alloys
- Metallurgy of ferrous, non-ferrous and rare metals
- Foundry
- Metal forming
Papers submitted to the journal are subject to peer-reviewing and editing.
The journal is indexed in the electronic database of the Russian Science Citation Index.

Papers are published free of charge.
All papers submitted to the editorial office are checked for plagiarism in the system Antiplagiat.Vuz. Papers containing over 50% of unacceptable plagiarism shall be rejected and returned to their authors.
Authors shall ensure that their papers have never been published before. If a part of the paper has been published before (in a paper, monograph, thesis synopsis, etc.) in the author’s native or a foreign language, authors shall provide a reference to an earlier publication, while indicating a considerable difference of a new paper from the previous one and links to the findings presented in the previous publication. Word-for-word copying of the author’s own papers or their parts, exceeding 50%, and paraphrasing of previous papers are not acceptable.
