• Problems of simulation of casting processes and design of optimal technology of manufacturing castings, using new process techniques and devices.

• Study and simulation of a defect formation process in castings from ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys and development of methods for their prevention.

• Methods to control the quality of castings and interactions between molten metal and a mold and development of environment-friendly technologies.

• Study and introduction of modern material-, resource- and energy-saving technologies in the machine building industry.

• Development of intensive technologies to produce castings with cores, moulds and lining materials based on metal-phosphate bindings, using oxide-containing materials for binding compositions.

• Development of new principles of ensuring environmental safety and a low level of waste of cold hardening mixtures and lining materials.

• Development of processing of bonding, dressing of ingot molds, cores and corrosion- and heat-resistant coatings of castings with metal phosphates.
