Abstract
When the equipment is operated in metallurgical production, industrial oils are used. The exposure to high temperatures, pressures, various metals, air, water and aggressive environments leads to a deterioration in their operational properties. The accumulated volumes of waste oils are toxic, have a low degree of biodegradability (10-30%) and are hazardous waste that must be collected and disposed. An effective disposal method is the regeneration of the waste oil using the adsorption method to save resources and solve environmental problems. In this regard, it is relevant to study the possibility of regenerating waste industrial oils using various sorbents for their subsequent use in the operation of equipment in metallurgical production. The study purpose is to restore the quality characteristics of waste industrial oil by adsorption to the indicators standardized by GOST 20799-2022 «Industrial oils. Technical conditions». The study objectives: development of technological scheme for waste oil regeneration by the adsorption method; determination of the oil quality characteristics after adsorption; comparative analysis of the efficiency of different sorbents for waste industrial oil regeneration. The study result analysis showed the following: the adsorption regeneration method for waste industrial oil I-40 allows to completely restore its quality characteristics to the values according to GOST 20799-2022 and reuse it for metallurgical equipment; the best adsorption and regeneration capacity of the two sorbents used was demonstrated by trepel, a sorbent type A (fraction 0,2-0,7 mm) manufactured by LLC «ChelKrist»; after the oil regeneration with another sorbent – zeolite manufactured by LLC «TSEO GRUPP», significant deviations from the standards for acid number and color on colorimeter TsNT were obtained; the developed technological scheme for the waste oil regeneration using an adsorption installation allows for the effective restoration of the oil quality characteristics for its reuse in production.
