Abstract
The results of a study of actual heat consumption during the operation of an industrial unit - a flash smelting furnace - including heat loss through uncooled furnace elements and heat removal by the cooling system are presented in this paper. The objective of the study was to experimentally determine the thermal field distribution of flash smelting furnaces (FSFs).
