Abstract
The processes of forging of large-diameter billets on a hydraulic press are studied using simulation. This paper shows the results of process simulation of billets forging with the Qform program. There is values of the flow stress of Inconel 718 alloy used for forging simulation. The differences in the deformation of the billet during forging with different tools, with different feed and bites values are shown not only in terms of the accumulation of deformation, but also in terms of the probability of billet’s defects. For prediction of the possible deformation defects appearance performed the calculation of damage accumulation during forging. The Cockroft-Latham formula is used in damage calculation.
