Head of the laboratory focusing on metallurgy and materials science, DSc (Eng.), Professor. He works at Saint Petersburg Polytechnic University since 1978. Alexander A. Kazakov began his career as junior researcher, since 1995 — professor, 2000-2012 — Head of the Department of Steels and Alloys, then Head of the Department of Metallurgical Technologies till 2015. That same year he organized and headed the Liquid-phase Metallurgical Technologies Laboratory.
