Abstract

The process of accumulative roll bonding of aluminum bimetallic composites 5083/2024 and 5083/1070 is considered. The calculated characteristics of the process based on modeling in the software package DEFORM 2D are presented. The state of the boundaries of the coupled metals in bimetallic composites is analyzed. The results, that allow to evaluate the regularities of plastic flow of the coupled dissimilar metals in the deformation zone during accumulative roll bonding, were obtained, as well as possibility to study some features of the intermetallic layer formation.
